How thoughtful of them ! In addition to having a higher resolution – for a clearer picture, the headset tracks your eye movement which has three benefits:
- Enhance the resolution of what you are looking at – which puts the clay in super high definition if you are looking at or near the clay.
- Show where you were looking when/ if you miss. The Teaching Mode now shows where the gun is pointed when you miss. It does not show where you were looking. Now we can. And guess what, where you were looking and where the gun was pointing and where the ballistic intercept point (Point of Impact at Phantom Clay) may be three different things.
- Shoot by looking at the target – Who needs a hand controller or a gun ? Just look at the clay or drone and shoot it down with eye tracking. (Can’t make this stuff up fast enough). Not quite sure how we would utilize this, but the point is that you could just point a the clay and actuate the shot by staring at the correct lead. Might be good mental exercise. Or not.
Stephen is going to get one of these new rigs and the developer’s firmware, and we are going to optimize Clazer for it. This will be the new Super Pro Clazer. Stay tuned.
Eye tracking allows for foveated rendering, which properly allocates GPU power to focused objects and areas for sharper images – like the clay at 50 yards. Simply look at your target and aim with precision. No need to even point with the controller. Maneuvers are faster and more intuitive than ever. Meaning you will be able to shoot clays (or drones) by just looking at the right spot in front of them. We anticipated eye tracking and described it in the patents.

Been waiting for an issf skeet update for the longest time. If I practice at the English skeet speeds my issf game goes off.
Chip Northrup says
On the list. We are going to add the clay speedometer back in – it was in the original beta – which should enable ISSF speeds

Are there any advantages from buying the Eye Pro for Clazer?
Chip Northrup says
The HTC Vive Pro is the best headset for Clazer since it allows the use to go untethered and has a higher resolution that the Vive headset.

So not much marginal value going from Pro to Pro Eye?
Chip Northrup says
We have not tested or optimized for Eye yet, but we intend to. We are still working in Mixed Reality Multiplayer with a new gun controller. Stay tuned.
