Lead Tech is finishing up Virtual Reality trap shooting. A draft shot from station 3 is shown below. We have experimented with showing static aim points like this popular wall chart, that Terry Jordan developed. Terry’s chart is an excellent practice tool for trap, but with virtual reality shooting, we can simulate depth perception and with the animations, timing – as well as show the ballistically correct lead at any point of the clay’s trajectory.
So if you want to practice trap shooting, by all means get one of Terry’s wall charts. But if you want to practice skeet, trap and 5 Stand in virtual reality shooting animations, get a LeadTech virtual reality shooting simulator.
Next up, 5 Stand sporting clays.
We need to work on that grass . . .

is it possible to program markers on the ground between the houses and the center stake? I shoot ISSF skeet and have very exact hold points for each station. If I could replicate the same hold points in the VR, it would go a long way towards being an even better tool. Otherwise, I am thinking it might be like practicing with a whiffle ball/bat before playing a fast pitch hardball base ball game; it could throw your sense of timing off.

We have a pre-set Hold Point in the Teaching Mode for each station. If that does not work, it might make more sense to simply pick an object in the scene and use that as a hold point. When you see this in VR, you will see there is no lack of spatial / visual reference points.
We could add markers on the ground, but that would likely be Phase 2 as we are racing to get the first draft out in time to meet the delivery dates of the VR headsets.
Any early adopters – with feedback – will just get free upgrades so that we can evolve in collaboration with knowledgeable users.

I would like to have a better picture of this to see if it is what we want. An idea of cost and delivery
Chip Northrup says
The simulators are available now for a whopping $30 on Steam VR = if you have an HTC Vive rig and PC to run it
The gun controller is probably going to be $150 ? Will see after beta tests and final build costs

is there a option for International Trap/Bunker trap simulation or is it only American trap. I would be interested in a International trap version or maybe wobble trap if no Bunker is available
Chip Northrup says
In this version, only American style – no wobble, no International
