The Lucy, a friend, raconteur, sportswoman and local entrepreneur, discovered something that 20 testers had missed – there is no allowance for eye dominance in the Samsung headset. Meaning, the stereoscopic view does not allow you to “aim” using your dominant eye, unless you enable the player to choose their eye dominance.
In the HTC version, the user can put the avatar shotgun where it belongs – on the dominant eye side, no problems.
But where the headset is used to aim – as in the Samsung Gear system without a hand controller – we are going to give the user the option of specifying eye dominance – by right or left – shifting the avatar gun to the dominant eye.
Call it the Lucification of Virtual Reality shotgunning. With our new gun controller, the shooter holds the gun up to their dominant eye – like in the real world = eye dominance dealt with.
