The Oculus Rift, and their kid sister, the Samsung Gear VR have the best VR lenses. They deliver the clearest picture, more focused than their rival, the HTC Vive. The reason is simple: the OR system uses a convex optical lens – like you’d find in any good optical instrument – from eye glasses to a telescopic scope.
The Vive uses a fresnel lens, like you’d find in a lighthouse or car headlight.
Which would you rather look through ? The OR is like 20/20, the Vive like 20/100
My guess is that Gen 2 headsets will figure this out and feature “lenses by Carl Zeiss”
Like this – VR goggles from Zeiss . . .
To be used as if they were on optical instruments. Not cars
As explained here by Arnold Schwarzenegger’s son Willi

Yes! Finally something about best headset.
Chip Northrup says
The proof is in the visual acuity of the OR – it’s like seeing 20/20 compared to Vive’s 20/100

You can use an lens insert with prescription lenses with glasses from Carl Zeiss from a german company vr-lens.eu to get a perfect immersion.
