We have negotiated a deal with Ilium to build a gun controller to our proprietary, patented design. They in turn are going to send an engineer to the Steam VR peripheral controller seminar in Seattle next month to get Steam’s SDK for peripheral controllers. Thank you Ilium ! Thank you Steam !
Working prototypes are being tested now. Prototype to fit on your own gun should be done by year end.
The VR gun looks like this in the latest HTC Vive build – except that it says Lead Tech instead of Beretta:
And the gun controller will look like this – your shotgun – because our VR controls can be attached to your own gun:
This should result in two flavors of gun controller – one that can be fitted on any AirSoft gun, and one that can be fitted onto any real gun, per our patent pending VR gun controller solution.
So you can turn that snazzy new K-80 into a VR gun controller and play CLAZER or, for that matter, Call of Duty, with your own gun. Bust ’em virtually before you bust ’em for real. Works fine rain or shine.

do you have an idea when the Ilium controller might come to market and what the cost might be?

Ilium sells a Steam gun controller now – an AirSoft Tommy Gun. I tried it – works fine ! We have negotiated a deal to make some to our specs – pricing and available soon. Should have a kit to attach to your own gun by year end to play CLAZER – by year end.
